Lost

You are a foreign tourist who are driving at an area known as "The Cal_ _ _ ar". And you don't know the way out. By the time, you are driving at Road 8. If you drive to your West, you will enter Road 1 while if you drive to your East, you will enter Road 15. You can't go South because there is no road there. And in front of you (North) is Road 7. All you know by now is that the only way out is to find Road 16 and from there, head straight up to North. Thus, you can only survive if you find Road 16. You have with yourself a compass to show direction of course, a phone to call DaWinci for any request or question(only once), a car with enough fuel to drive you, plenty of water for you to survive for another couple of days, no map as "The Cal_ _ _ ar" is a secret location.

Description: Bring yourself out of this area. Show how you get out here by providing the name of the Road and the direction you heading to. All you need to do is to find Road 16. Thats all. In the mean time, tell us what is "The Cal_ _ _ ar". My advice: Just drive through, you don't have to get out of the car and do other crazy stuffs. One last thing, if you know what's "The Cal_ _ _ ar", you know about the whole plan and sure you know how to get out of here.

He kept on viewing the others and named the second one as Legend, the third one as Farmax, the fourth one as Armageddon, and the fifth one as Alpha. Without decoding anyone, he ventured out for the sixth code, namely Ulcer. Before viewing the code named Magpoo, he at first viewed Tyjakah followed by Momentum. At last, he viewed Ancientbill and left. The next day, he came again. This time, he saw this one:

N3w Labels

Posted by Wilson Ong

Dear visitors,

There will be an update to the label of each posts. It will be either Coded or Decoded:-

Coded=These codes are coded which means it is yet to be decoded. If visitors are searching for something to break, they will straightly go to these coded posts without referring to the status of the codes nor the comments of the posts. It saves time.
Decoded=These codes are decoded by one of the Hall of Fam3. If visitors want to know how the codes were decoded, they can view the comments for the answers.

However, the "status" in each posts will still remain there as to show the one who decoded the codes. Plus, as a remainder, all posts without labeling are informative details about the progress of this DaWinci website. Thanks.

Marking Scheme

Posted by Wilson Ong

Range of marks for all the codes in Da Winci:-

1 mark=Easy analysis. The description tells you what to do. The code is encoded in ONE simple way. You will definitely find a way to crack this.

2 marks=Easy analysis. The description tells you what to do. The code is encoded in TWO simple way.

3 marks=Further analysis. The description tells you what to do. The code is encoded in THREE ways. A further analysis and logical thinking may be needed.

4 marks=Further analysis. Players may have to search for the result, criteria, information, details from another website or other source. After that, players may have to sequence it together. If you are good in searching, you are good in this. Determination is the only need to decode these codes. The description doesn't tell you much. The code is encoded in FOUR ways. Some codes may not need further searching of details. However, they are harder of course.

5 marks=Players may need to be an expert in certain range of subjects, hobbies and others. For example, players who are good in football, Chinese songs, computer knowledge will stand a better chance in breaking the codes. The code is encoded in such a way that when you are good in something, you will decode it soon enough.

6 marks=Hard analysis. The code is encoded in FIVE to SIX ways. You miss/don't understand one part of it, you miss everything.

8 marks=Hard analysis. The code is encoded in SEVEN to NINE ways. Simply sophisticated.

10 marks=Complicated analysis. Simply NO CLUE at all. Players may need to know what's the author is thinking. No information, details are provided. These codes may not be logical. This type of code is rarely produced as the formation of the code may need a longer period. A special Hall will be formed to list out those who successfully decode these finest codes.

This marking scheme will be followed until another better marking method comes out. Thus, some codes' marks have been changed to a much appropriate marks. After successfully decoded any codes, a proper marking scheme will be released in the comment to show why such a mark should be given to the players. Visitors can visit any comments in Da Winci to find out more about this. Criticism, ideas are welcomed if you are unsatisfied of these. Have fun and stay tuned.

Mad World

Posted by Wilson Ong

Mad World
Gary Jules (cover of Tears for Fears)

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I ever had
I find it hard tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World
Mad world
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
And I feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very

Code's Defination

Posted by Wilson Ong

From wikipedia:-

In communications, a code is a rule for converting a piece of information (for example, a letter, word, phrase, or gesture) into another form or representation (one sign into another sign), not necessarily of the same type. In communications and information processing, encoding is the process by which information from a source is converted into symbols to be communicated. Decoding is the reverse process, converting these code symbols back into information understandable by a receiver. One reason for coding is to enable communication in places where ordinary spoken or written language is difficult or impossible. For example, semaphore, where the configuration of flags held by a signaller or the arms of a semaphore tower encodes parts of the message, typically individual letters and numbers. Another person standing a great distance away can interpret the flags and reproduce the words sent. In the history of cryptography, codes were once common for ensuring the confidentiality of communications, although ciphers are now used instead.
